NNTT at Home – Eugene Onegin

Take a trip to the opera, without leaving the sofa. For theater lovers, performing arts fanatics or anyone looking for something new to keep them captivated while staying home this month, the New National Theatre, Tokyo has kindly launched a free streaming service to share some of it’s magnificent productions for a limited time. For one week only, viewers can enjoy Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, performed at the the NNTT last October, featuring Evgenia Muraveva, Vasily Ladyuk, Pavel Kolgatin, Yayoi Toriki, Alexey Tikhomirov, the New National Theatre Chorus and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. Please note that the performance is sung in Russian, with Japanese subtitles.

More productions will be added in the coming weeks and additional clips and rehearsal footage are now available on NNTT’s YouTube channel.
