NNT Drama Studio “Beautiful Days”
One of the early works of Japanese playwright Matsuda Masataka, “Beautiful Days” follows the story of Kenichi, a high-school teacher who quits his job in Tokyo and returns to his hometown in Kyushu after breaking up with his fiancée. The drama explores his emotional journey, and the sense of loneliness he feels in such a big city where people tend to keep to themselves. The play will be performed in Japanese by final-year students of NNT Drama Studio, a programme at the New National Theatre, Tokyo that trains up-and-coming theatre actors of Japan.
