New National Theatre, Tokyo: Archive Screenings
If you love drama, dance, ballet, and opera, you’ll be pleased to hear about the New National Theatre Tokyo’s monthly Archive Screenings. The theatre is celebrating their 20th anniversary this season, and their free monthly screenings give you the chance to watch video footage of past performances on an 85-inch screen. In April, you can view the drama “Kamiyacho Sakura Hotel” (1997), and coming up in May is the ballet “Bintley’s Aladdin” (2011). Reservations aren’t required but space is limited to 40 people on a first come first served basis. Screenings are held on the 5th floor at the Information Center (Library).
