Narita Taiko Festival

Narita Taiko (Drum) Festival is one of the largest drum festivals in Japan and brings throngs of people to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple and Naritasan Omotesando annually for some traditional performances.

Pray for Peace Sengan Hana Daiko

One of the main events, Pray for Peace Sengan Hana Daiko, features 800 drummers performing in the name of peace. One song lasts thirty minutes—a testament to the taiko drummers’ strength and stamina. April 14 & 15 from 10am at Naritasan Shinshoji Temple

Street Concert

The street concert features a parade of over 20 drum teams. Eight stages are set up across the main street for drummers of all ages to show their stuff. April 14 & 15, 11am-5pm on Naritasan Omotesando

Drum Parade

This parade of dancers and drummers is an exciting and lively display of skill, stamina, and great rhythms. April 15, 3-5pm on Naritasan Omotesando

Night Drum Concert

The final and main event of the festival takes place as the sun sets and the sky goes dark. Visitors will enjoy a powerful performance by drummers with the main temple hall as a backdrop. April 15, 5-7pm at Naritasan Shinshoji Temple
