The second edition of MUTEK Japan aims to bring fresh combinations of sound and vision to new audiences. The NPO operates festivals across the globe to promote, disseminate and develop emerging forms of digital sound, music and visual creation. Miraikan (The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation) seems an unlikely musical performance space and yet the perfect setting for the three-day event. MUTEK serves as a hub for the community who produce, evolve and explore the variety of international outputs being showcased this year. Friday night’s program includes an after-hours club night held at WOMB in Shibuya, requiring additional entry fee, discounted for MUTEK wristband holders.
