As part of the New National Theater, Tokyo’s 20th Anniversary Programme, they present a new translated version of the play Marjorie Prime. This is the fifth instalment in a series presenting the Japanese premiere of Western plays at the NNTT. Marjorie Prime is a Pulitzer Prize-nominated play written by rising American writer Jordan Harrison. The story explores the human condition dealing with growing old and future technologies, through the lives and conversations of the four main characters. The play was adapted into a film, starring Geena Davis, Jon Hamm and Tim Robbins, which premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year .
This exciting new adaptation of the original play will be performed in Japanese. Performances times vary each day.
