Mario Trejo: Idiosyncratic Tantrums

This solo exhibition showcases 12 new paintings by Seattle-based artist Mario Trejo.

Trejo’s paintings create idiosyncratic images through the accumulation of repeated gestural marks. For some of the works, Trejo broadens his range of expression by using different mediums (phosphorous paint) and processes such as sanding, which is a part of his additive/subtractive practice.

Trejo’s work has been exhibited in the US, Canada, Japan, and Taiwan. Recent exhibitions include solo shows at K. Imperial Fine Art (2018), and Herringer Kiss Gallery (2017).
