How to make a book with STEIDL and other screenings

Tokyo Photographic Art Museum is showing a selection of rare documentaries featuring a trio of incredible creators. How to make a book with STEIDL (2010) observes the renowned publisher, printer and perfectionist Gerhard Steidl as he collaborates with famous photographers including Robert Frank, Ed Ruscha and Jeff Wall in addition to his work for Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel. 2012’s 13 Lessons in Life with Saul Leiter follows the aging photographer a few years before his death as he looks back on his legendary career while Don’t Blink Robert Frank (2015) takes an honest look at the man who many claim revolutionized independent film and photography. Screenings are at 13:00, 15:00, 17:00 and 19:00 daily. Check the website for the complete schedule.
