A Lucky Cat Art Exhibition
Around 50 artists have customized traditional Japanese “lucky cat” statues for this large group exhibition. Manekineko the “lucky cat,” with one of its paws raised high, is a common sight in many businesses throughout the country, believed to bring good luck and fortune. This exhibition is a celebration of traditional Japanese crafts and manufacturing in collaboration with the wide variety of styles and diverse backgrounds of the artists’ involved. The cats will all be for sale, along with other works and artists’ goods. Whether you’re a cat lover, an art lover, or just looking for some better luck, there’s sure to be something for everyone.
A opening reception will be held on Friday April 14 from 6pm-9pm.
