Kawasaki Halloween Parade 2017
Kawasaki is one of Japan’s biggest and most impressive Halloween events, and this year it’s going to be lit. The two-day event will be more inclusive, offering an additional LGBTQ-friendly pride parade to the main event.
There are three children’s parades on Saturday, starting at noon, 1:30pm, and 3pm, with reception opening one and a half hours before the parades begin.
The main Halloween parade will be on Sunday, starting at 2:30pm and will, in a celebration of diversity and excellent costuming, be joined by a Halloween Pride Parade at the same time.
Through the weekend, several other events will be taking place, including a Minions’ run, Halloween craft making corners, face paining and more.
For more adult audiences, there’s also the Dancing Pumpkin club night at Club Citta, starting at 5pm. Parade-goers’ tickets allow free admission, while non-parade participants can buy tickets for the event here.
All the events will take place around Kawasaki station and the La Cittadella area.
