This is a monthly event with one group day per month as well as a “virtual” version where people can do 18 holes at EastWood Country Club and enter their scores in the tally at the end of the month.
The Jarman International Charity Golf Cup is a great way to get out on the links and support a great cause. This Cup is hosted by EastWood Country Club in Tochigi Prefecture and run by Jarman International K.K. The event helps provide a ¥100,000 donation each month to NPO Mirai no Mori, an organization that aims to give Japan’s marginalized children a new chance at living a healthy life and learning English.
This month, the in-person gathering will take place on March 26, though any player going to the course during this month can submit their scorecard to enter the Cup virtually. All participants in the charity cup have the chance to win a ¥100,000 prize and a trophy.
This Cup uses the New Peoria scoring system. Players with scores of up to 110 or so can actually win thanks to secret handicaps on certain holes. It is a fun way to meet new friends, eat delicious food and enjoy the sport you love. Please contact [email protected] if you would like to join us or would need some help with a reservation.
Note: The participation fee includes a delicious lunch, free-flowing beer and sake, access to showers, etc. There is also a free shuttle bus to and from Utsunomiya Station. Please inquire for more details.
