The Japanese Eye Exhibition

The Japanese have been cultivating a sophisticated “sense of beauty” throughout its history. Through the fresh perspective of the snapshot scenes of their daily life, it brought joy and discovery into their routine. However, due to rapid globalism and modernization, these preciously raised senses have begun to disappear. matohu has been publicizing clothing collections titled “Japanese Eye”; a total of 17 chapters in eight years. The harmony of its modern design and traditional sense of beauty has collected high appraisal not only in the fashion industry, but throughout the world. This exhibition will include an art installation that represents various Japanese aesthetics into a “Japanese Garden,” displayed with articles of clothing that embody those aesthetics.
