The Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA), with over 3,000 members, is one of the largest design organizations in Asia and is highly active, conducting seminars and workshops, design education, public design, regional development and more. Every year, they recognize a lineup of promising graphic designers under 40 years old. Since 1983, the award has produced some 113 successful designers who spearhead the industry. The 38th (2020) award goes to Shun Sasaki, Seri Tanaka and Tomomi Nishikawa. The three have wildly different styles and career experiences (from book covers to corporate branding), but this exhibition will introduce some of their designs and projects.
A talk with the three artists will be held on September 30 (submit questions here).
