Hiroya Kurata: Bat Walk

Art

Brooklyn-based artist Hiroya Kurata returns after six years since his last exhibition in Tokyo. The artist’s latest series of landscape paintings is a departure from his former theme of baseball, instead focusing on childhood memories of playing outside. Kurata received his BFA from Parsons School of Design in 2003. Recent exhibitions include several solo and group shows in New York City and his work has appeared in artnet, Juxtapoz Magazine, Vice Magazine, Hypebeast Magazine and much more.

Artist’s reception: August 22 | 18:00–20:00
