Heroes: Nagi Yoshida Photography Exhibition
At the age of five Nagi Yoshida was clear in her mind about what she wanted to be as an adult. While other kids dreamed about becoming superheroes, professional athletes and astronauts, she had already decided on a career as an African tribal warrior. Of course, as an adult she realized this was an impossible dream, but this didn’t stop her from traveling to Africa and meeting local tribes. She began photographing the tribes, and over the past few years she has visited around 17 African countries. Through her photos she hopes to convey the joy within the communities she’s met and to show the continent in a more positive light.
