Gustav Klimt: Vienna – Japan 1900
The largest display of the Austrian painter’s works ever held in Japan, Gustav Klimt: Vienna – Japan 1900 commemorates the centennial of the artist’s death. Best known for his eroticism, sensuality and portraits of women, often incorporating gold leaf, Klimt’s paintings, murals and sketches make up an impressive legacy which is revered around the world. This exhibition will showcase 25 of Klimt’s oil paintings, including portraits and landscapes, alongside works by his Viennese contemporaries and Japanese influences.
