Crane your necks upwards and wander through the glass, concrete and steel heart...
August 3 marks the opening of Gransta Tokyo, a commercial facility nestled in the North Passage of Tokyo Station. Sixty-six new stores will join the existing 87 in the station to form East Japan’s largest train-station shopping site. Details about individual stores are still being finalized, but to commemorate the launching, shops will offer limited-edition products and campaigns. The chocolatier Maison Cacao, for example, will offer the “Tokyo Limited Bag” from August 3 to August 31, while renowned macaron maker Ladurée has developed a special macaron box. Additionally, there will be a commemorative talk show in the morning of opening day, with graphic designer Taku Satoh (who created the Gransta logo), director of the Fisheries Research Institute at Kindai University Shukei Masuma and chocolate specialist Masayuki Okuda.
The talk show will take place on the first floor of Tokyo Station.
