Gordon Matta-Clark : Mutations in Space

Explore Asia’s first full-scale retrospective exhibition of experimental work by the late pioneering American artist Gordon Matta-Clark. Matta-Clark (1943–1978) predominantly worked in New York in the 1970s and has posthumously gained widespread popularity and left a legacy for his site-specific creations. In his short but prolific career the artist explored various mediums including sculpture, video work, photography and drawing, in addition to crossovers into architecture, street culture and even an artist-run restaurant. His unique world outlook and varied output conveyed his cool and witty ideas that still resonate with audiences around the world.
