Take a closer look at the styles and trends of women’s European fashion from the past 250 years. Bunka Gakuen Costume Museum holds its rescheduled ‘European Mode’ exhibition (postponed since spring) showcasing outfits spanning from the Rococo, through the Industrial Revolution to the fast changing 20th century. A special section focuses on ’60s and ’70s fashion, in a post war era when fashion became free and fancy and there were plenty of new developments, from innovative futuristic fabrics and bold patterns to mini skirts and pantsuits. Take a step back in time in your finest gown or your platform boots and discover the exciting styles of the past which still serve as current fashion inspiration.
Please note that this event may be postponed or cancelled in accordance with ongoing measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
