enra – VOYAGER
Established in 2012, Japanese supergroup enra is a performing arts company that defies conventions of space, time, gravity, and physics, through seamless synchronization of digital projection and physical movement. The group gets its name from enenra, a supernatural creature made of smoke that can take many different forms, and after you see them in performance, you’ll understand just how apt the name is. Drawing from the disciplines of street dance, martial arts, diabolo juggling, and more, they combine their physical performances with state of the art projection mapping, making for shows that simply have to be seen to be believed. They’ll be performing four shows at Setagaya Public Theater over the weekend of September 8-10, so come and prepare to be dazzled.
