A collaborative exhibition by two artists presenting their imagined versions of a post apocalyptic future. Matt Lock (USA) and Tai Ogawa (Japan) have created new works featuring scenes of destruction, dystopia and unknown worlds inspired by their mutual interests and personal influences including the evolution of 80s and 90s technology, the frustration of mankind and the near future in the past. It is the first time for Lock’s work to be exhibited in Japan although the duo previously collaborated on a zine ‘Post Apocalypse’ released by MUERTE in 2016. In addition to Lock’s detailed drawings, Ogawa has taken on large scale paintings rather than his usual paper medium. Expect sci-fi scenes, cyber punks, techno terrors, aliens, warriors, weapons and mysterious prophecies of things yet to come.
An opening reception will be held on Friday, November 10, from 7pm.
