Denmark: Design

Known for being a design powerhouse, Denmark’s design aesthetics can be characterized by simple beauty combined with high quality underpinned by functionality and technological strength. Drawing on academic support from the country’s Designmuseum Danmark, this exhibition focuses on the appeal of Danish design by presenting furniture, tableware, light fittings, daily necessities and other items from the latter half of the 19th century, through the mid-century period to the present day.
