Decoration Never Dies, Anyway
An exhibition exploring the history and legacy of decoration. Seven diverse artists, working in a variety of mediums, present their own interpretations of “decoration” and invite visitors to consider the context and necessity of decoration in our everyday lives and beyond. From laser cut sculptures and carpet canvases to fashion designs and video installation, new forms and responses decorate the rooms of the Teien Art Museum. The exhibition features work by Wim Delvoye (Belgium), Makiko Yamamoto (Japan), Nynke Koster (Holland), Yoshikazu Yamagata (Japan), Akiko & Masako Takada (Japan), Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook (Thailand) and Kour Pour (UK).
