Choco Run Yokohama
Starting in 2013, runners in Japan have enjoyed a special event that allows them to indulge while they work off their calories. Runners looking for a chocolate fix will find all they need and more at this one-of-a-kind running event. This year there will be more than 50 different types of chocolate, cookies, and other sweets, as well as attractive male models who will feed you chocolate at the end goal. Now that’s something to run for!
There is a voluntary dress code of red — either coordinate some red into your outfit or go all out for a free drink coupon. Pose with friends and family for photos at designated photo spots to get even more into it. There are multiple courses: 2km, 4km, and 10km, and many events not involving running as well, so the whole family can get involved.
Applications are open until Feb 14 for those who want to measure their time and until the 18th for those who want to run for fun. The race is open to anyone aged 4 and over, but those under 18 will need consent from a guardian, and middle school-aged children and under need to be accompanied by an adult/guardian.
