Bruichladdich Distillery, situated in Islay, Scotland, is a unique distillery in terms of its focus of barley – they are committed to using 100% barley only from Scotland, of which almost half of the barley they use is from Islay itself.
The distillery is bringing a bit of Islay to Tokyo by recreating the nature and barley fields from the Scottish Island into the middle of bustling Roppongi Hills.
Guests will be able to enjoy various whiskies from Bruichladdich Distillery, ranging from the Classic Laddie, a non-peated Scotch with an elegant floral aroma, to Port Charlotte, a heavily peated whisky with a savory sweet smokiness reminiscent of barbecue. The whiskies will be paired with offerings inspired by Scottish cuisine, such as shepherd’s pie and an upscale take of fish & chips with lobster. Bruichladdich’s brand ambassador will also be onsite to answer questions and host seminars – check out the event website for more details.
The event will also offer non-alcoholic drinks and sweets – so families are welcome to come! There will also be a bottle shop with both main and rarer bottles available for purchase. Lastly, take the quiz linked from QR codes on the table and get a free drink the next time you visit!
