Benjamin Hosking – When skin has eyes – Book Launch Reception
An art book by the Australian architectural photographer Ben Hosking. He has worked commercially throughout the Asia-Pacific region for 10 years documenting both contemporary and modernist architecture. This has led to a deep fascination with the quiet and calm sensibility of the Japanese-built environment and a photographic study of Togo Murano’s classic architecture from the Japanese summer of 2018 in Hakone, Japan.
This work is an exploration into the ephemeral nature of buildings and how we, as humans, experience them through our lifetime. Using the analogue process of medium format film, the body of work was then transferred into digital C-Prints and subsequently reproduced for this publication.
