Art and Wine Charity Dinner Party
This event is a collaboration between wine connoisseur and importer Makoto Sasaki; celebrity chef Shinichi Kosugi; artist and wine enthusiast Marta Luiza Burdzy; and the president of Princess Salon, Yasuko Ogura.
The art on display during the dinner party includes Burdzy’s series called “Fleurs Immortelles” (Immortal Flowers), which includes oil paintings of cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, apple blossoms and magnolias (pictured above). The second artistry presented at the dinner is that of Warumen Chef Shinichi Kosugi, who is known for turning French cuisine into beautiful works of art.
Last but not least, the wine served at the event has an amazing story of its own: it comes from Burgundy’s annual Hospices de Nuits St Georges wine auction, which sees 100 barrels auctioned off, and gives its proceeds to the 13th century-founded hospital. Two years ago Makoto Sasaki attended the auction and chose a barrel – now bottled and set to be served at the dinner party.
