Alfons Mucha

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between the Czech Republic and Japan, the National Art Center, Tokyo, is holding an exhibition featuring one of the Czech Republic’s most lauded artists: Alfons Mucha. He has been so influential that his art style was originally named “The Mucha Style,” before being considered a part of the Art Nouveau genre. This exhibition features the full 20-piece display of his “The Slav Epic” – this is the first time it has ever been shown as a complete set outside of the Czech Republic.
