37th Arita and Imari Porcelain Exhibition
Held at Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku, this exhibition shows off the famed antique porcelain of Arita and Imari, two towns in Saga Prefecture that are known for their superb pottery. All kinds of crockery will be on display under the theme “antique porcelain in contemporary life” and some items can be purchased – ideal for gifts or souvenirs. To give you an idea of how to incorporate the beautiful dishes into your home, the exhibition includes special dinner table settings using Ko-Imari (Antique Arita)-style porcelain dishes. In addition, visitors can enjoy eating washoku (traditional Japanese cuisine) using the porcelain dishes at nine different restaurants within the hotel.
