The 21st “Domani: The Art of Tomorrow” Exhibition
Since 1967, the Agency for Cultural Affairs Program of Overseas Study for Upcoming Artists has been helping young Japanese artists to train abroad in order to foster and support the future of the arts in Japan. The “Domani: The Art of Tomorrow” exhibition started in 1998 as a way to showcase work from the visual arts field of the program, giving artists unique exhibition spaces to present their work to the Japanese art scene in a large scale public show. This year’s exhibition, titled “End of the Heisei Period,” features nine artists who were born in the Showa period but started their careers in the Heisei period (from 1989) working in a diverse variety of media.
