Oneohtrix Point Never Returns to Japan

American electronic music producer-composer-songwriter Daniel Lopatin, better known as Oneohtrix Point Never (OPN), is heading back to Japan with a stunning new live set, following the release of his new album Tranquilizer on November 21, 2025. The record has already garnered significant praise, including Pitchfork’s “Best New Music” distinction.

OPN is frequently recognized as one of the most influential figures in contemporary electronic and experimental music, and has worked with artists like The Weeknd, FKA Twigs, David Byrne, Iggy Pop and more. He is also well-known for his film scores: Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring, Josh Safdie’s Uncut Gems and most recently, Safdie’s highly-anticipated A24 film Marty Supreme starring Timothée Chalamet.

For this tour, OPN is reuniting with visual artist Freeka Tet to present an expanded audio-visual experience that weaves together reality and the surreal.

About Tranquilizer (2025)

The album Tranquilizer is a 15-track sound collage born from Lopatin’s process of salvaging and rebuilding lost digital sound fragments, resulting in his most deeply immersive and textured work to date. The album revolves around the themes of collapse, memory and craft.
