Born in 1991, Kohei Shibusawa studied under world-renowned rope artist Kinoko Hajime. While working as an instructor at the Ichinawa Kai organized by Hajime, Shibusawa also supports Hajime’s work as a rope art group Ropes.

This exhibition features eight rope art installations and 20 photos that express the artist’s routine-yet-emotional walks through the streets of Tokyo on their commute:

Same old town. Same old streets, where the time goes by.
No one glances at the clock in the city anymore, constantly checking their phones.
I notice a shoe that lies abandoned on the street. Since when did I start to think this was normal?
If you focus, these small oddities lurking in the city may completely change your perspective.
