Blu Jam Cafe

By Weekender Editor

This West Coast breakfast-centric café in Daikanyama has plenty of meat-free offerings. Located just a minute’s walk from Daikanyama Station, Blu Jam Cafe has a warm interior with exposed bricks, high ceilings and modern art. The staff is kind, accommodating and offers service in English.

The restaurant’s signature breakfast, cornflake-crusted crunchy French toast served with a vanilla bean sauce, is offered all day, as well as other morning staples.

For vegetarians, the menu features the Florentine Benedict with poached eggs, baby spinach, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella and hollandaise sauce atop lightly toasted English muffins. Vegan options include a spicy Tex-Mex tofu hash, veggie sandwich and a vegan burger. The kitchen staff also are happy to make other dishes vegan or gluten-free, if possible.
