From August 8 to 10, swing by the Tokyo International Forum to check out Monozukuri: A Celebration of Japanese Artisanal Techniques. This event, held by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, will display both traditional Japanese craftsmanship and state-of-the-art manufacturing technology. And admission is free!

The opening event will feature collaborative work by plaster, tile, and stamp carving craftsmen, while other stage event will feature ikebana flower arrangement, ice sculptures by the 2016 world champion, and more.

Meanwhile, in the main venue, approximately 70 organizations and companies from all over Japan will be exhibiting their wares and giving demonstrations on the themes of clothing, food, living, manufacturing and more.

For a look at traditional craftsmanship and the latest technologies, this is an event not to be missed.
