The gallery was founded in Tokyo in 2010, with the mission to promote and support cutting-edge contemporary art by young and emerging artists. The gallery’s focus is on man’s presence in the post-industrial society with regards to social engagement, nature, cultural heritage, and fantasies and dreams. WAITINGROOM also supports artistic creation through diverse programs including public lectures and workshops.
