Tokyo Hotarudo

By Claire Chauvel

Nestled in the back alleys of Asakusa, step back into time at Tokyo Hotarudo. This antique and kimono store is a rare find, full of trinkets, stunning fabrics and clothes, and vestiges from the past. The eccentric owner, a young man, dresses like the 20th century has yet to come to a close. The store is worth the visit just to meet him. The store’s aim is to connect the present with the past, the new with the old.
