Ikegami Honmonji

Ikegami Honmonji is said to be constructed on the spot where the founder of the Nichiren Buddhist sect passed away. The temple was completed in 1282 and features Tokyo’s oldest five-story pagoda, along with a spacious temple complex with a plum tree garden, open to visitors seeking silence and solitude.
