Weekender’s guide to celebrating Thanksgiving in Tokyo:

Being away from home doesn’t mean that you need to miss out on celebrating Thanksgiving with a delicious meal and a full belly. We’ve put together a list of places that will satisfy your craving for turkey, pie and other festive foods for all budgets.


Roti Roppongi (Roppongi): Roast turkey is the star of the show here, with well over 350 turkey meals being prepared for the occasion. There are many different meal packages available, but our pick of the bunch is the 4-course dinner on the 26th and 27th of November.

Good Honest Grub (Shibuya): Reservations only at this Thanksgiving feast of harvest greens, roast turkey, and homemade pumpkin carrot cake.

Beacon (Shibuya): Four carefully curated courses plus sides and tea or coffee. The roast turkey with dried cherry, pecan and chorizo stuffing, and cranberry and persimmon relish is our pick.

Ruby Jack’s (Roppongi): A five-course offering at this steakhouse institution. The special Thanksgiving menu includes clam chowder and slow roasted USA turkey.

The Pink Cow (Roppongi): Plenty of down-home options to go along with the large bird, including homemade stuffing, peas in cream sauce, and pies galore. Stuffed tofu is available for vegans & vegetarians. Two seatings available per night.
