A prominent Japanese-origin fashion name, a box-shaped kiosk, and special-edition items are awaiting fashionistas in Omotesando for a very limited time.

If you happen to strut along Omotesando for some shopping or people-watching, take a few minutes to stop by the latest fashion craze… yet another pop-up shop! This time, designed by the creative geniuses behind Opening Ceremony, it’s Kenzo’s turn to have a fleeting stint on Tokyo’s trendiest avenue.

Unless you’re been buried under a pile of fashion magazines or spend all of your free time in the shops like some of our staff writers, the name Kenzo may not immediately ring a bell to your ear.

The Kenzo brand was founded in the early 70s by Takeda Kenzo, a Himeji native who relocated to Paris early in his career. The brand offers perfumes, skincare products and clothes, and more recently the designer has launched tableware and furniture after handing over the Kenzo reins.

The Kenzo kiosk is currently stationed inside Gyre on Omotesando (the sleek complex hosting Chanel and Bulgari, as well as the MoMA design store), until the very end of December.

The box-shaped space offers a range of Kenzo logo tee-shirts and sweaters, as well as collaboration items with sporty brands New Era and Vans. A limited-edition (this really is limited…) snowflake-emblazed collection is only available there, and we all need a new jumper for Christmas, don’t we? You can also engrave initials to purchased wallets at the shop, so this could be a great gift idea.

Have a look at the Gyre website for more (in Japanese).
