Cheap beer with your hot dog, sir?

Going to watch Japanese pro baseball in Tokyo is a great evening out, even for those without a passion for the game. Some people love baseball yes, and some people just love going to baseball.

Maybe it’s the atmosphere, the food, the cheerleaders… or the beer? Head to Jingu Stadium for the next couple of Yakult Swallows games (versus Hiroshima Carp on Thursday 26th, from 6 p.m. and versus Yokohama Baystars on August 9th, same time) and your ale will flow for half the price.

We aren’t sure this quite constitutes a beer ‘Festa‘, but it might be worth checking out. Cheap seats are only ¥1,500 – ¥500 for kids – and as the stadium is so easy to get to, even if you have never been before, you have no excuse now.

Tokyo’s Swallows are currently placed 4th in the Central League and are on a bit of a losing streak, so could do with your support – the players may wish join you in the stands and drown their sorrows.
