Air India cancelled four more international flights today as pilots continued to call in sick on their second day of protest. International flights from Delhi and Mumbai were cancelled due to the lack of pilots. Other international flights are operating with available pilots. Affected passengers are also growing agitated saying that they are not being informed about alternative flights. Around 200 pilots reported sick yesterday resulting to the cancellation of 13 international flights. The pilots, spearheaded by the Indian Pilots Guild, protested against the rescheduling of Boeing 787 Dreamliner training. The Air India management is considering to take the issue to the court saying that the pilots’ actions are illegal. The management also sacked 10 senior pilots and threatened to de-recognise the guild.
