Golden Week starts and the highways get busy as people head out of town, but there is plenty to do in the city during the holiday.

From antiques to beach based music festivals, there is something for everyone this weekend in Tokyo.

Tokyo Rainbow Pride parade takes place in Yoyogi Park on Sunday (29th), as does the Oiso Hacienda festival‘s second day – which has announced an afterparty at the newish Sound Museum Vision nightclub in Shibuya.

The ‘cool Japan’ composium is part of the mammoth video sharing conference going on at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. You can read more about that here.

Check out the new Hikarie building in Shibuya – it is well worth a visit for its shops and resta urants. Or take a trip down to Yokohama for the Spring Oktoberfest!
