Vijitt Resort Phuket

Serenity secluded perfection, captures what awaits guests at this beautifully landscaped resort, set above the white sands of stunning Friendship Beach in Phuket’s southern, laid back and unspoiled Rawai district.

Retaining the Thai owners’ commitment to that unique “Thai” feel, the resort’s magnificent gardens testify to its eco-friendliness. It is also exceptionally quiet, peaceful and friendly, with a wonderful local history and an essentially Thai atmosphere.

The 92 luxurious, stand-alone villas sit amid lush tropical trees and fauna overlooking the azure blue waters of Chalong Bay. Staff are renowned for their efficient, attentive, gentle (and, of course in Thailand) smiling service.

This hotel is the only hidden Luxury resort villa in the Phuket area, and in the each maisonette style villa, is a personal swimming pool, a large bedroom, dining room and living room, a shower room, a high-class amenity set and for those who can’t tear themselves away from work an internet connection. Furthermore, if guests pick up their room phone, the concierge or butler of the hotel will reply to all requests “within three minutes,” say staff.

The resort is ideal for honeymooners, couples and families. Vijitt Resort Phuket stands for Thai hospitality and environmental sustainability with a difference.

Vijitt Resort Phuket

Location, location, location.

On the privately owned Friendship Beach, just a short drive from Phuket airport on the less popular southeast coast. Only a five minutes drive to Rawai Beach, where you can take boat trips to neighbouring islands.

Character:

Smart modern villas, with traditional touches are scattered around a hillside sloping to the beach. Golf buggies transport you down the pathways between each, which allows you to be extremely lazy. Vijitt Resort started life as a private home and for 60 years the owners have lovingly cared for the tropical gardens and planted many of the trees, all carefully absorbed into the new plan.

Rooms:

92 beautiful villas, each of which is sumptuous and well equipped, with a sitting as well as sleeping area. Most have an outdoor shower and a terrace and many have their own private pool.

Food:

The Savoury restaurant by the poolside serves Western and Thai food all day and evening, and is a breezy, contemporary, casual place to hang out. It is also popular with locals, who come for the lavish Sunday brunches. The other restaurant of the resort is The Baan Vijitt, housed in the original family home, a Sino-Portuguese colonial house with a romantic, sophisticated feel and flavorful
Thai cuisine.

We love:

The very large infinity swimming pool overlooking the beach, which not only looks great but provides the opportunity for a proper workout swim. All the facilities, snorkeling gear, kayaks, boat trips to coral island, perfect for a nice swim and snorkeling, shuttle buses to Patong and Phuket town twice a day and complimentary for all guests.

Kids will love:

The large and spacious kids club staffed to make sure the children are entertained and taken care of for the whole day while the parents relax. Kids can enjoy an indoor and outdoor playground, swimming pool, activity room and movie and games room.
