Chisun Hotel Ueno Hosts an Enjoyable Summer Vacation with Memories to Last a Lifetime

General Manager Toshiki Sawata and the staff of Chisun Hotel in Ueno were concerned for the well being of children affected by the 9.0 magnitude earthquake that was followed by a devastating tsunami and nuclear power plant crisis in Fukushima Prefecture. So they organized a special summer vacation for the children in Tokyo.

“Many of these children have endured terrible hardships, leaving wounds that only time can heal,” says President & CEO: A. G. Virili of Solare Hotels & Resorts Co., Ltd. the management company of Chisun Hotel Ueno.

“These children are part of Japan’s next generation and we want to make sure we play a role however small, in Japan’s future.”

“To offer a respite from the ordeals they have faced, we wish to offer them hope and enjoyment through memories that will last a lifetime. These children are part of Japan’s next generation and we want to make sure we play a role however small, in Japan’s future.”

Chisun Hotel Ueno and its online reservation partner, Trust International, worked together to invite 14 students from grades two to six to visit Tokyo and participate in a fun-filled, educational tour geared especially for children.

Through a donation of one million yen from a group of Trust International employees, Chisun Hotel Ueno planned the exciting event created with the help of the non-profit organization, Living Dreams Japan.

The students stayed at Chisun Hotel Ueno for 3-days, 2-nights from August 22-24 with complimentary accommodation and meals.

They experienced and enjoyed many activities, including a visit to Ueno Zoo, KidZania Tokyo, bowling, and a music workshop conducted and special mini-concert performed by the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.
