Came across a product labeled “night milk for night time” at the grocery store and was intrigued. What makes night milk different from regular (day) milk, I wondered?  Is it flavored with night-time appropriate ingredients – perhaps a little cocoa, or maple syrup, or rum?

Surprise! Night milk tastes just like day milk. The only difference is that it comes in an individual sized cup that costs the same as an entire quart of regular milk. Smart Japanese marketing, definitely convinced me to buy it once (but never again!).

Have any experiences with uniquely marketed food items you want to share?
