For a piece of pop culture, head down to Air in Daikanyama. This trendy club was featured in Sophia Coppola’s Lost in Translation, as the place where Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson end up one night. It is also where Ko Kimura, Japan’s veteran house music DJ, spins once a month. Ko Kimura was one of the first DJs to play house music in Japan and is known as one of the most influential and talented Japanese DJs. On the last Friday of this month, DJ Ko Kimura, along with other local and international DJs, will hold a ‘glow in the dark party’ with food, a perfume booth, and tarot readings. Come dressed in your favorite fluorescent clothes and accessories to really stand out in the black light.
