Utopia: Dreamland and Paradise Depicted

People always desires a peacefully happy life. To be moved by the beauty of things, to touch and play with nature , to enjoy entertainments, and to quietly face oneself- all are just different aspects  of human emotions. And, out of this wide range of feelings, the painters have always tried to depict scenes of happiness and pleasure. For this exhibition, the ideal world or utopia created by painters will be represented in the masterpieces of the Kamakura to the Edo period, and some from the modem age.
