This re-released 2007 film gives a fly-on-the-wall view into the political world of Kazuhiko Yamauchi, following the 40-year-old entrepreneur of very little political experience as he leaflets the streets of Kawasaki. Although running as part of the ruling Liberal Democrats, Yama-san, as he is known, ends up seeming slightly pathetic compared to the charisma of then Prime Minister and party leader Junichiro Koizumi. This real-life satire is especially timely as Japan prepares for its upcoming elections on August 30.
