Seta International School
Seta International School has given great thought to the curriculum and the organization of the classes. They provide a balanced and complete program of education in a family-like, well-equipped environment. Emphasis is placed on reading, writing, verbal communication, numeracy skills, science exploration, artistic skills, physical coordination, and social interaction.
Children learn best when they are happy and comfortable in their environment. This is why the choice of school materials is important. School’s teaching staff use equipment, that is imported from overseas. These materials are developmentally appropriate and modern. Every effort has been made to provide our students with adequate space to learn through play. In addition, the children go to a local park that is only a 5-minute walk from the school.
The students are divided into Kindergarten, Pre-Kindergarten, and Toddler classes based on their developmental skills. Seta International School is committed to maintaining a student teacher ratio of 8:1 or less, so that children can have as much individual attention as possible. Chances for individual instruction will be maximized throughout the program, when it is necessary.
Seta International School also offers other programs:
Seta International School’s Seta Study Program (Private Lessons / Semi-Private Lessons) will prepare your child to confidently deal with challenging school expectations and a fast-paced curriculum.
Classes run from Monday through Friday at Seta International School for grades 1-8
Lesson starts: Any time between 15:30 to 19:00 (50 min./lesson)
Their English language program, ELP, is aimed at Japanese students attending local schools and eager to improve their English communication skills. Children from kindergarten through elementary school are welcomed. This program offers classes that teach English phonics, basic vocabulary and reading and writing.
The Summer program (for 2 – 8 years old) is divided into several theme-based, one-week sessions where the children will participate in various activities designed by our teachers. Please note that different teams of SIS teachers will be coordinating the program during different sessions and that substitute teachers may participate occasionally. The program welcomes both children who are currently enrolled in regular classes at Seta and those who are not.
