Waseda International School
Waseda International School is a small international school for children between the ages of 3 and 12.
At WIS the following programs are offred:
International pre-school (K3-K4) for children between the ages of 3 and 5 YO
International kindergarten (K5) for children between 5 and 6 YO
International elementary school (Grades 1 – 6)
Saturday school program
New students are assessed for English fluency and then placed in the English as a Second Language (ESL) program. Waseda International School uses a curriculum that is taught entirely in English and therefore requires students to have a high level of English fluency.
At Waseda International School, Japanese Language and Culture are taught every day, using the Japanese Ministry of Education authorized textbooks within the guidelines of the Japanese National Curriculum. Students are grouped by ability, with levels ranging from Beginner, Japanese-as-a-Foreign Language (JFL) to Native-Japanese (NJ).
